Ceasefire Talks Collapse as Terrorist ‘israeli’ Attacks Result in 78 Palestinian Deaths in Gaza

Zionist forces have reportedly killed at least 78 Palestinians, including several aid workers, in ongoing bombardment across the Gaza Strip. This escalation comes as efforts to derail ceasefire negotiations continue, amidst a worsening humanitarian crisis in the besieged region.

Palestine’s Safa news agency announced on Tuesday that Israeli airstrikes resulted in the deaths of five individuals, with a yet-to-be-determined number suffering injuries. The targeted assault struck a house near the al-Shati refugee camp, located to the west of Gaza City.

The agency reported that Israeli airstrikes on a building in the Zarqa area of the al-Tuffah neighborhood, located northeast of Gaza City, resulted in casualties with individuals either martyred or injured.

The occupation forces, according to Safa, have reportedly demolished several residential homes in the eastern part of the al-Zeitoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza.

According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, an Israeli assault near an aid distribution center in Rafah, located in southern Gaza, resulted in the deaths of at least five individuals who had been in search of assistance on Monday.

An Israeli airstrike targeted a displacement camp in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least nine individuals and causing injuries to numerous others, as reported by WAFA. Additionally, a separate Israeli airstrike in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza struck a commercial center, claiming the lives of four individuals.

Israeli forces have intensified their offensive operations in northern Gaza, including Gaza City.

In a significant escalation, the occupying forces unleashed substantial airstrikes on Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, targeting the areas around the Tuffah and Shujayea neighborhoods and resulting in the leveling of residential structures.

The WAFA news agency reported that at least 24 Palestinians lost their lives in Gaza City, with numerous others sustaining injuries.

The Palestinian media reported that Israel conducted a heavy bombardment on a five-story residential building located in the Zarqa neighborhood, north of Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of 14 civilians.

The agency reported that first aid responders and civil defense teams were unable to access the bombing site to recover the bodies from the debris.

Israeli artillery fire targeted a residence in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood located in the western part of the city, resulting in the deaths of no fewer than 10 civilians and causing injuries to more than 25 others, several of whom are in critical condition.

Casualties were reported amid the ongoing conflict as delegations from the Palestinian resistance movement and the Israeli authorities commenced negotiations in Qatar last Sunday. The talks aim to reach a temporary ceasefire in the military operations in Gaza, which have been ongoing since October 7, 2023.

Israel’s decision to maintain its military presence in the Gaza Strip has stalled indirect ceasefire talks between the involved parties.

The assaults coincide with ongoing appeals from United Nations agencies for increased humanitarian assistance to be permitted entry into Gaza. The region is on the brink of famine, and a critical fuel shortage has further crippled an already struggling healthcare system.

The water crisis in Gaza has worsened following Israel’s near-complete suspension of fuel shipments to the region since March 2. This lack of fuel has led to the widespread shutdown of desalination plants, wastewater treatment facilities, and pumping stations.

Israel announced a unilateral termination of the Gaza ceasefire agreement on March 18, initiating a new series of intense airstrikes across the region, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians.

Since March 18, medical sources report a death toll of at least 7,568 individuals, with an additional 27,036 injured. In the past 24 hours alone, Gaza hospitals have received the bodies of 120 Palestinians who lost their lives, including three recovered from debris, along with 557 other reported casualties.

Israel has conducted an extensive military campaign on the Strip since October 2023, resulting in the deaths of 58,386 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and causing injuries to 139,077 individuals.

Furthermore, over 10,000 individuals are missing and feared deceased beneath the debris of their residences across the Strip.
