Zionist ‘israeli’ Regime Tanks and Military Vehicles Enter Syria’s Quneitra Countryside in Recent Incursion
Zionist forces have launched an incursion into the suburbs of Quneitra in southern Syria, deploying tanks and military vehicles in their latest reported entry into Syrian territory.
Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen network reported that on Monday morning, forces advanced into the Tal Abu Qubais area within the Quneitra countryside, deploying two tanks along with several military personnel carriers.
The incursion followed an operation by Israeli forces who had recently advanced into the village of Ain Ziwan, in the province bearing the same designation, deploying five military vehicles and setting up a checkpoint within the area.
Israeli Strikes Conducted in Dara’a Region
Israeli strikes have also impacted the southern Syrian province of Dara’a, which has faced several attacks to date.
Military operations in Dara’a have intensified, characterized by extensive artillery bombardments, ground offensives, and frequent warplane flights.
Since December 2024, Israel has intensified its unauthorized activities in southern Syria, notably in the strategically significant Jabal al-Sheikh (Mount Hermon) highlands. This development coincided with Takfiri militants toppling the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, with support from Israeli aerial forces.
The regime has taken advantage of the security vacuum created after the fall of Assad’s government by launching assaults on Syria’s defensive infrastructure and equipment.
Following the regime change, newly installed Syrian officials with support from the United States have consistently suggested the prospect of “normalizing” relations with Tel Aviv.
