Syrian, Chilean discussions on boosting cooperation in seismic studies issue

Damascus, SANA-Syria and Chile discussed prospects of boosting cooperation between the two sides, particularly in seismic studies issue

That came during a meeting between Public Works and Housing Minister, Eng. Suhail Abdel Latif, and Chargé d’Affairs of Chilean Embassy in Damascus, Jose Patricio Brickle,

During the meeting, that took place Monday at Ministry headquarters, the special report prepared by Chilean experts was delivered in cooperation with the competent in the Ministry and in the provinces hit by the earthquake last year.

The report included a technical study and evaluation of the buildings after the earthquake, underlining the importance of exchanging Technical expertise between both sides.

Minister Abdul Latif noted to the joint cooperation between technicians from both sides and the possibility of reaching a memo of understanding (MOU)in several feilds, including earthquake issue.

Charge d’Affaires, Jose Brickle, hailed the Syrian technical expertise in engineering studies.
