Syrian Army Pounding Militants’ Positions in Quneitra, Hama Provinces

The Syrian Army’s operations against the gathering centers of the terrorists groups of the al-Nusra Front and the ISIL in the Southwestern province of Quneitra and the Central province of Hama forced the rebel groups to retreat forces from their positions, informed sources said.

The sources said that the Syrian army stormed the Nusra’s positions in the nearby areas of villages of al-Hamidiyeh and al-Hurriyeh, 70 km to the West of Quneitra city, and pushed back the insurgents from the battlefields.

Meantime, the arm troops raided the ISIL terrorists’ centers in Salba, Jana al-Albawi, al-Qastal al-Wistani and al-Latamneh in the countryside of Hama city, leaving many terrorists killed or wounded.

Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fuelled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 210,000 people, according to reports. New figures show that over 76,000 people, including thousands of children, lost their lives in Syria last year.
