Syrian Army launches big assault on terrorists in west Aleppo despite large Turkish military presence

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) unleashed a powerful assault against the Turkish-backed rebels in west Aleppo last night, a source from the military informed Al-Masdar News.

According to the military source, the Syrian Army began the assault by launching a large number of artillery shells and missiles on the Islamist-held town of Al-Mansourah and Al-Rashiddeen District.

The Syrian Army disregarded the Turkish military’s observation post near Al-Rashiddeen in order to heavily pound the Islamist rebels in the area that previously attacked the provincial capital of Aleppo this weekend.

For the last two weeks, the Islamist rebels in west Aleppo have taken advantage of the Turkish military’s presence in the area by launching missiles and artillery shells from the latter’s observation posts.

The Syrian Army finally responded to these attacks last night by launching their own assault that was meant to deter anymore ceasefire violations.
