Syrian Air Force begins anti-ISIS campaign in east Aleppo

The Syrian Arab Air Force restarted their aerial campaign over the east Aleppo countryside on Thursday, targeting several villages under the control of the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) in the Deir Hafer Plains and Al-Bab Plateau. According to an Al-Masdar field correspondent, the Syrian Air Forces struck the Islamic State terrorists a number of times at the villages of Al-Bab, ‘Aran, Rasm Al-‘Alam, Madiyonah, ‘Ayn Al-Jahish, and Umm Al-Hosh.
The field correspondent further added that several Islamic State terrorists were killed or wounded because of these ferocious series of airstrikes over the east Aleppo countryside. The Syrian Air Force’s airstrikes on Thursday marked the first time in three months that the government has targeted this region in the Aleppo Governorate.
