Syrian Air Defense on Alert to Counter US Possible Raid

The Syrian Army’s Air Defense Units are fully ready to counter any possible US attack on military bases as terrorists are preparing to stage a false-flag chemical attack in Idlib to provide an excuse for a US airstrike, a media source reported on Tuesday.

The Arabic-language website of the AMN reported that the Syrian Air Defense Systems have been put on alert to counter a possible attack by the US forces.

It further said that Mezeh airport is also on alert.

The news website went on to say that the Syrian army has relocated a number of its planes and helicopters from Hama to other bases, including Mezeh, al-Sha’ayrat, Kuweires and Lattakia, to evade any possible targeting in the possible US raid.

The Russian Defense Ministry accused the US, UK and France of paving the ground to launch air attacks on Syrian under the pretext of chemical attack by the Damascus forces on non-military targets.

The Arabic-language website of Sputnik quoted well-informed sources as disclosing on Monday that the White Helmets transferred a consignment of chemicals from chlorine-producing company in Atmah at border with Turkey to Northern Hama on Sunday night.

It further said that the chemical consignment that was hidden in five trucks for carrying sands was transferred from Northern Idlib to Northern Hama under tight security measures.

The sources told Sputnik that a false-flag chemical attack will be possibly carried out following movements by Tahrir al-Sham and the White Helmets to pave the ground for the US’ aggression on Syria.
