Syria in Last 24 Hours: Syrian Army Destroys Terrorists’ Strongholds in Homs, Hama

 Positions and movements of the terrorists in the Northern countryside of Homs and Southern outskirts of Hama came under attack by the Syrian army and air force on Monday.

The Syrian army engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists in the surrounding areas of al-Hamrat and Salim villages in Northeastern Homs.

The Syrian army’s artillery and missile units also heavily pounded the military positions of the terrorists in Ezzedin, Deir Foul, al-Zafaraneh, al-Ameriyeh, Ain Hossein Jonoubi North and Northeast of Homs and Jabal al-Zarqa South of Hama, destroying several terrorists’ headquarters.

The Syrian air force also heavily pounded the military positions of the Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) in Harbnafsa town, al-Zareh village and al-Sathiat, destroying several strongholds and military equipment of the terrorists as well as killing and injuring several of them.

The terrorists sustained heavy losses and casualties in clashes with the Syrian army in Homs and Hama provinces.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Homs-Hama

The Syrian army and air force in a series of military operations pounded and destroyed several positions and movements of the terrorists in the Northern countryside of Homs and Southern outskirts of Hama.

The Syrian army engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists in the surrounding areas of al-Hamrat and Salim villages in Northeastern Homs.

Meantime, the Syrian army’s artillery and missile units heavily pounded the military positions of the terrorists in Ezzedin, Deir Foul, al-Zafaraneh, al-Ameriyeh, Ain Hossein Jonoubi North and Northeast of Homs and Jabal al-Zarqa South of Hama, destroying several terrorists’ headquarters.

Idlib

The Syrian army is preparing to launch an imminent assault in the strategic Jisr al-Shaqour region in Western Idlib as efforts continue to fully cleanse Southern Damascus from terrorists.

Field sources reported on Sunday that the army forces are preparing and reinforcing their bases in Lattakia mountains.

They referred to the Syrian army units’ military exercises in the region and its artillery and missile attacks against the terrorist positions in Jisr al-Shaqour, and said that the operations will soon start to liberate this region.

The sources added that the army operation in Idlib will kick start and spread as other units and divisions engaged in Southern Damascus are about to end their assault in the region to join the units already deployed in Idlib.

“It seems that the troops at war in Southern Damascus will be dispatched to Idlib once they wrap up the operation around the capital,” they added.

Damascus

The Syrian army continued military operations in Southern Damascus, extending the range of its advances and regaining control of more strategic regions.

The Syrian army forces continued clashes with the ISIL terrorists West of Hajar al-Aswad region on Saturday, retaking control of al-Qadam, al-Asali and al-Joureh districts after they had seized control of al-Madeniyeh district on Saturday.

Also, after the Syrian army took full control of al-Qadam, al-Asali, al-Joureh and Al-Madeniyeh districts, the terrorists were forced to withdraw to their main base inside Hajar al-Aswad.

This is while the Syrian army fiercely clashes with the terrorists West and South of Hajar al-Aswad.

The Syrian army’s artillery and missile units as well as air force heavily pounded the terrorists’ positions and movements in Hajar al-Aswad and Yarmouk Camp, cutting their lines of movement.

Meantime, terrorists in the towns of Yalda, Babila and Beit Sahm agreed on Monday to leave the region after a Syrian army ultimatum.

The Syrian army and Russian forces reached an agreement with the militant groups to leave, Yalda, Babila, Beit Saham and Seidi Meqdad in Southern Damascus, field sources reported.

According to the agreement, the terrorists who have not agreed on establishing peace in the region will leave Southern Damascus for Northern Syria, while other militants will apply for amnesty to stay in the region.

Some reports said that Jeish al-Islam terrorists will leave for Jarablus, others for Idlib and Jeish Ababil Houran will also be transferred to Dara’a.

This is while the army will continue its military operations in several directions to put an end to ISIL’s presence in the region.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian army continued its advances in several regions East of the Euphrates River after the government forces tightened their grip on the areas in Western Deir Ezzur.

The Syrian army imposed control on Al-Jieh Water Pump as well as the villages of Shaqareh and al-Alian West of Deir Ezzur city and on the Eastern coast of the Euphrates which was under the control of the Kurdish forces after the government troops imposed full control over al-Janineh and al-Jieh villages, field sources said.

The Syrian army’s advances in the region took place several days after construction of a bridge by the Russian forces between the two coasts of the Euphrates river for the passage of the military equipment and delivering them to the army positions in Eastern Euphrates, the sources added.

The army troops regained control over the two villages of al-Ji’ah and al-Janineh in Western Deir Ezzur after heavy clashes with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) forces.

Meantime, the SDF forces started dispatch of military equipment from al-Kasreh city to Western Deir Ezzur after Syrian army’s victory in the two regions.

This is while neither the Syrian army nor the Kurdish forces have confirmed or dismissed the news.

Dara’a

The Syrian army responded to the attacks by the Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) on safe regions in Dara’a and Quneitra in Southern Syria, killing several terrorists, including a notorious commander.

The commander of the Al-Nusra Front’s Soyouf Mohammad Battalion nom de guerre Ahmad Mohammad Zatimeh was killed in the Syrian army’s artillery attacks on terrorists’ positions in al-Maneshiyeh in Dara’a al-Balad which came in response to the terrorists’ attacks.

The Al-Nusra Front fired 60 rockets on the countryside of Quneitra, the surrounding areas of Khan Arnabeh town and the city of al-Ba’as, destroying residential buildings in the area.
