Strait of Hormuz Firmly Under Iran’s Control, Admiral Sayyari Says
TEHRAN, Sept. 21 (MNA) — Rear Adm. Habibollah Sayyari, deputy chief of Iran’s Army for coordination affairs, rejected claims by U.S. officials regarding the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that the strategic waterway is firmly under Iran’s control.
In an interview published Monday, Rear Admiral Sayyari said the Strait of Hormuz was “definitely in our hands.”
He added that “the enemies will definitely not achieve any success here [Hormuz].”
The Army official underscored the importance of maintaining unity in confronting adversaries, saying national cohesion would help secure success for the Iranian people.
