Resistance groups honor Mohammed Deif, the legendary military commander of Hamas

Prominent figures within the resistance movement have expressed their condolences and honored the memory of the commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.

On Thursday, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, reported the death of several members of its military council amid ongoing clashes with Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip. Among those confirmed dead is Mohammed Deif, the chief of staff for the group.

Abu Obeida, the leader of the al-Qassam Brigades, announced on Thursday that Marwan Issa, the deputy military commander, has been killed in combat operations.

In the recent battle, several key commanders were reported killed, among them Ghazi Abu Tama’a, who led the weapons and combat services, Raed Thabet, the head of manpower and supplies unit, and Rafeh Salama, the commander of the Khan Younis Brigade.

Ahmed al-Ghandour, commander of the Northern Brigade, and Ayman Nofal, leader of the Central Brigade, were among the prominent Hamas figures who lost their lives in recent fighting.

Mohammad ‘Abu Khaled’ Deif, renowned for his ability to evade capture, has reportedly survived no fewer than seven assassination attempts by Israeli forces. Deif is widely recognized as a pivotal figure in coordinating military actions against Israel.

Across the Axis of Resistance, various factions have come together to mourn and pay tribute to the martyrs of the Al-Qassam Brigades. This solemn commemoration is led by the remembrance of the esteemed fallen leader, Commander Deif.

The Islamic Jihad Movement has officially announced its mourning of the death of Mohammed Deif, also known as Abu Khaled, along with his fellow comrades. The group acknowledged their significant contributions in launching the Al-Aqsa Flood operation and hailed their successes, including brokering the latest prisoner swap under conditions dictated by the resistance.

“The Movement emphasizes that the martyrdom of its leaders bolsters the resilience of the resistance and compels the Zionist entity to withdraw,” it stated.

Islamic Jihad has reiterated its unwavering commitment to standing with Hamas and other resistance groups in their efforts to honor the sacrifices of their martyrs, pursue complete liberation, and counter Zionist-American initiatives impacting the Palestinian cause. The group emphasizes its determination, framing their struggle as one leading to either victory or martyrdom.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine has announced it is in mourning for the loss of a significant Palestinian figure and the Chief of Staff of the Al-Qassam Brigades, along with Marwan Issa and their fellow militants.

Mohammed Deif was regarded as an emblem of strategic planning and significant resistance, instilling fear in Israeli forces for many years.
