Prominent Cleric: Sheikh Zakzaki, ambassador of peace in Nigeria

Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Abbas Ka’abi, representative of Khouzestan Province in the Assembly of Experts met with a group of Shia scholars from Nigeria denouncing heinous acts by Wahhabi groups due to their hostility and ignorance, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Wahhabi crime committed against Sheikh Zakzaki and a group of Shia mourners in Zaria was merely a conspiracy” and vowed that the deviate anti-Shia group will be punished for its heinous act.

Member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom demanded Nigeria’s Islamic Movement to continue its activities in full peace, tactfulness, unity and with regards to the national interests.

He also called Nigeria Islamic Movement to introduce true Islam which is derived from monotheism, justice, logics and truthfulness stressing that to end ignorance, poverty and deviation is part of the objectives of true Islam.

The cleric called Islam as a religion abhorring terrorist activities and noted,” Some are in pursuit of annihilating Islam introduced by Ahlul Bayt (AS) and horrifying the governments and Sunni community from Shia Islam or the other way round while some others assist the enemies through their financial aids.”

Ayatollah Ka’abi hailed Nigerian prominent cleric, Sheikh Zakzaki, as the ambassador of peace saying,” Nigeria Islamic Movement should announce to the media and authorities that it is not in pursuit of toppling or tension with the government and different movements rather it is following peace and obedient of the law.”

Iranian cleric also highlighted the peaceful nature of Ahlul Bayt (AS) teachings of Islam and its distancing any form of extremism in line with prevalence of moderation.
