On Sept. 22, Israeli occupation forces shelled the outskirts of Abidin village in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa countryside, sending shrapnel toward civilian homes in the village’s western neighborhood. No casualties were reported in that attack.

Israeli forces continue to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, raids on civilian homes, detentions, land clearing and artillery attacks.

Syria has repeatedly demanded that Israeli forces withdraw from its territory. It says measures taken by the occupation have no legal effect under international law and has called on the international community to press Israel to withdraw fully from southern Syria.
