ISIL Continues to Retreat from Eastern Homs

The Syrian Army troops engaged in a tough battle with ISIL terrorists in Eastern Homs and managed to capture four more regions, killing and wounding a number of militants.

The army units clashed fiercely with ISIL and pushed them back from the regions of Tarat al-Alab, Sharah Dehloun, Ba’ar Dehloun and Northeast of the villages of al-Aliyaneh 45km East of Homs city.

Meantime, a military sources reported that tens of ISIL terrorists were killed, several military vehicles were destroyed and a large volume of equipment were damaged in the attack.

In relevant developments in the province on Monday, the army troops, backed up by Syrian and Russian Air Force took back two key heights near the strategic al-Sha’er Energy Fields.

The sources reported that after hours of bloody battle, the Syrian pro-government forces recaptured several positions near the al-Sha’er Energy Fields, including Heights 1,005 and 943 in the al-Sha’er mountain.

According to reports, the army soldiers will probably start a fresh phase of anti-ISIL operation to capture the al-Sha’er oil and gas fields and their nearby areas and hills in the coming days.
