Iran’s Top Military Command Warns US, Allies of ‘No Restraint’ in Response to Aggression

Iran’s joint operational military command has warned the United States and regional countries that any aggression against Iran would prompt sustained and “painful” retaliatory strikes against US positions and interests across the region.
Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned Sunday that any U.S. “mistake” against Iran would trigger sustained, effective and painful attacks targeting all U.S. bases and interests in the region without limitation.
The statement said that, based on the information received, the United States—with the approval of some regional countries—had decided at a joint meeting in a European country to resume actions against Iran. It accused Washington of attempting to conceal its defeats and claim false gains in a conflict it said began with what it described as Zionist lies and staging and continued through deception.
It also cautioned regional countries against supporting any US aggression toward Iran, warning that they would be deemed accomplices in the “mischief” and could no longer expect restraint from Iran’s powerful armed forces.
Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, previously warned that Tehran’s military assessments point to a strong possibility of renewed US aggression, saying the Islamic Republic is prepared for a “decisive war.”
The United States and Israel launched their first conflict with Iran in June 2025, lasting 12 days. A second offensive began on February 28, 2026, and ended in early April after 40 days.
In both wars, Iran’s resistance and effective retaliatory operations compelled the aggressors to agree to ceasefires.
Iran has maintained tight control over the Strait of Hormuz since the early days of the second imposed war.
In July, the United States carried out a series of deadly airstrikes on Iran and imposed a naval blockade, allegedly violating the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Islamic Republic on June 17 to end the war.
In response, Iran’s armed forces launched strikes against strategic U.S. targets across West Asia and announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to all traffic.
