Iranian Armed Forces Vow to Make US and ‘israel’ “Taste Further Defeats”

Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff and the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters have pledged to defend the Islamic Republic’s national interests, the rights of the Iranian people and the country’s territorial integrity. They said Iran’s armed forces would inflict further defeats on the United States, Israel and their allies.

In a statement marking Sacred Defense Week, the Armed Forces General Staff and Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said September 22, the start of annual commemorations for the 1980–1988 war between Iran and Iraq’s Ba’athist regime, marks a significant chapter in the history of the Islamic Revolution.

The statement said Iran’s people, drawing on their faith and unity, had resisted military aggression by the former Iraqi regime, along with political, security and economic pressure from both Eastern and Western superpowers.

It said Iran had “upended conventional calculations in the global military and strategic arena,” delivering an “irreparable defeat” to major powers and their allies without surrendering “even a single inch” of its territory.

The statement added that, under current circumstances, Iran’s Armed Forces had inflicted significant damage on U.S. and Israeli military and security infrastructure, as well as their strategic interests, in West Asia.

The statement said the measures had shifted the security balance in favor of the Muslim community and the Iranian people, citing Iran’s control of the Strait of Hormuz through “Iranian arrangements,” the erosion of the US military’s “hollow” image, and the defeat of the Israeli military.

The statement said Iranians would continue relying on national capabilities and “creative capacities” to counter the enemy’s coordinated attacks, particularly in the economic, cognitive and media spheres.

It said Iran would deliver another defeat to its adversaries after inflicting heavy blows on the US-Israeli camp.
