Foreign ministry spokesperson urged Islamic countries not to allow changes in Al-Aqsa Mosque Islamic identity.

Bahram Ghasemi who was responding to purported ban on reciting Azan from the Mosque imposed by the Zionist regime and confiscation of Palestinians’ lands in the West Bank, said that the Islamic rituals were highly revered for Muslims and any ban on the rituals would aptly called violation of human rights of religion and as racial and ethnic discrimination; “the international community especially Islamic countries should stand against the imposition and should break silence on the regime’s ludicrous acts such this,” he told the press. “Al-Aqsa Mosque, the fatherland of the Muslims for many centuries should remain Islamic in essence and identity.”
