Blasts heard in Saudi Arabia, flights disrupted in south
Reports have emerged of explosions resonating in Saudi Arabia's southern Jizan region on Friday, resulting in fires and causing disruptions to flights throughout the southern parts of the kingdom.

According to information provided by al-Masirah, explosions in Jizan led to the outbreak of fires, as reported by Saudi sources. Aviation data reveals that these incidents have resulted in flight disruptions at airports in the southern region of Saudi Arabia. Flights destined for Riyadh have been forced to return to the runway, while military aircraft remain on standby until conditions stabilize. In response, Saudi authorities have implemented a prohibition on photography in the impacted areas.
Saudi Arabia’s national early warning system has issued a danger alert in the western province of Yanbu, though specifics regarding the threat remain unclear. Meanwhile, unverified sources have reported the sound of powerful explosions in Yanbu.
Just hours following Saudi Arabia’s bombardment of Yemen’s Hodeidah port in the early hours of Friday, the incidents unfolded.
