Syrian Armed Forces launched military operations in Damascus town of Al-Hamah and captured the Oyoun region of the town also another strategic point overlooking their mobilization centers and defensive lines of rebels, causing militants fortifications to collapse.

After Rebels unable to stop the Syrian Army’s advances, more than 300 rebels holding the town desperately surrendered to be later transported to another location, most probably Idlib.

The residents of Al-Hamah celebrating the government troops’ presence in the town and formally welcomed the military command of the Al Hamah region.

This development is the latest in a series of agreements that have consolidated the Syrian government’s grip on the nation’s capital while expanding the safety perimeter around some of the country’s most sensitive and strategic points, AMN reports.
