40 Takfiri Terrorists Dead as Syrian Troops Make Gains in Jisr Al-Shughur

At least 40 terrorists have been killed in heavy fighting between the Syrian army and the Takfiri groups in the Northwestern town of Jisr al-Shughur, Idlib, a source said.
A senior Syrian military official, preferring to remain anonymous, said on Tuesday that the Takfiri terrorists suffered major losses in Jisr al-Shughur as the army troops clashed with the militants in a hospital complex.

The source added that also a number of Syrian soldiers lost their lives during the clashes.

The latest developments came after the Syrian army lunched a major offensive to free some 250 besieged soldiers and their families in the complex.

On May 10, the terrorists started a fresh assault on the National Hospital, following two bomb attacks which destroyed the hospital’s right wing.

During the assault, the militants entered one of the hospitals buildings but were forced to retreat after the military carried out 22 airstrikes around the complex.

The Syrian Army has defended its country against insurgents since 2011 when a huge number of foreign terrorists flocked to the Middle-Eastern country.

In spite of certain western states’ military and financial supports for the militants, the Syrian troops have been able to push them back from many areas across the country.

Military estimates show the fall of militancy in Syria is not far.
