US-led aircraft kill Syrian family

Aircraft deployed by the so-called US-led coalition, which purports to be fighting the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group, have reportedly killed an entire family in northern Syria.

The airstrikes slew the family, comprising a couple and their five children, overnight in the village of Daly Hassan in the northeast of the Aleppo province, according to a Monday report by the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The London-based Syrian opposition group said the deaths “bring the number of Syrian civilians killed in coalition airstrikes since September 23 to 148, including 48 children and 32 women.”

In May, the Observatory reported 64 civilians — nearly half of them children — had been killed in US-led airstrikes in the village of Birmahle in Aleppo.

Even Syrian opposition National Coalition said the available information “lends credence to report that it was a US-led coalition airstrike.”

The US-led coalition has been pounding purported positions of Takfiri militant inside Syria without any authorization from Damascus or a UN mandate.

The Pentagon has generally denied that US-led coalition strikes have killed any civilians, despite persistent reports of scattered civilian deaths. Washington and its allies have also lent staunch support to the Takfiri terrorists fighting against Damascus.

Syria has been struggling against an implacable militancy since March 2011. The US and its regional allies – especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey – are supporting the militants operating inside Syria
