Major General Hassan Firouzabadi, a senior military advisor to the Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, said on Sunday that granting general amnesty to armed rebels and hostages indicated the nation loving nature and strength of the Syrian government.
The general amnesty would help repatriation of the refugees to their homeland and restore peace in Syria, he said.
Underlining the significance of restoration of peace in Syria, Firouzabadi noted that the decision made by President Assad indicates his realistic approach to the humanitarian crisis.

Saudi Arabia and its US allies support the terrorist groups operating in Syria and Iraq, Firouzabadi said, noting that their support will not yield fruit any more.

He said that supporting Daesh and other terrorist groups have become much costly and less useful for the Saudis today.
