Terrorists Withdraw Vastly from Positions in Eastern Homs under Syrian Army Attacks

The Syrian Army troops, who captured the key town of al-Sukhnah yesterday, stormed ISIL’s defense lines in Eastern Homs on Monday and managed to capture more hills and positions.

The army engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL from Rajm al-Saboun towards East and captured Abu Qol hill, Zahour Rajm al-Qan region and al-Malah hills South of the newly-liberated al-Sukhnah.

The army men further imposed control over five heights overlooking the village of Manoukh in Eastern Homs.

The ISIL suffered tens of casualties in the attack.

Field sources confirmed that Mo’aviyah al-Khazrami al-Zabarjandi, a senior commander of ISIL was among the dead terrorists.

Military sources confirmed on Sunday that the army troops won the street-battle against ISIL in the key town of al-Sukhnah, imposing full control over the town’s neighborhoods.

The army men pushed ISIL back from the strategic town of al-Sukhnah Northeast of Palmyra city after hours of clashes in the town’s neighborhoods.

ISIL suffered heavy casualties in the operation, the sources added.

They went on to say that the army’s engineering units were defusing landmines and bombs planted by the ISIL in the town’s streets and buildings.

In the meantime, the Syrian Air Force was targeting ISIL positions in the town of Humeimeh and its surrounding areas near the provincial border with Deir Ezzur province, inflicting major casualties on the terrorists.
