Terrorists in the northwestern edges of the Syrian capital continue to lose more ground as the Syrian Army resumes military operations.

Al-Hafez St.; one of the major bastions of Islamist insurgents has just been overrun by the government troops after night battles and heavy shelling.

The seizure of this rebel fortress will allow the Army to impose fire control over the jihadi positions in Tishreen Neighborhood and western Harasta; thus expanding the buffer zone and reducing the risk of counteroffensives.

Yesterday, the Syrian Army managed to recapture the leader of Faylaq al-Rahman rebel group along with his two companions after fierce clashes.
