The Syrian army forces advanced in regions near the strategic town of al-Mayadeen in military operations to cleanse the ISIL terrorists from Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

The army units continued to advance in Badiyeh Deir Ezzur on Thursday after fully purging terrorists of al-Feyzeh, Feyzeh Mawina’a and al-Tamah in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, regaining control of 1,500sq/km of lands from the ISIL terrorists.

A field source said that the Syrian army troops have advanced over 60km inside Badiyeh region in their operations against the ISIL in al-Mayadeen’s two-way road.

He added that the army has cut off the terrorists’ vital roads in Badiyeh through the recent advances in the region and increased security in the strategic town of al-Mayadeen.

The Syrian army had on Wednesday sent more fresh forces and military equipment to Southeastern Deir Ezzur to continue attacks on remaining pockets of the ISIL near the town of al-Mayadeen.

The army plans to send tens of fresh forces, several tanks and a large volume of heavy military equipment to Southeastern Deir Ezzur to hunt the remaining pockets of ISIL terrorists to restore more security to al-Mayadeen.

The army has driven ISIL out of vast lands near al-Mayadeen in the last three days.
