Syrian army troops on Saturday continued mop-up operations against the foreign-backed militants in many areas across the country, and inflicted heavy losses on them.
The government troops killed and injured many militants and destroyed their vehicles in Daraa Southern province.
The army troops targeted concentration centers of militants in the surrounding of Mansharet al-Hajar in Ataman town and in the surrounding of Khirbat Ghazala in the countryside of the province, leaving a number of them dead and injured, a military source said.
Army unit killed many militants and destroyed a car equipped with a heavy machinegun they were using in the town of Deir al-Adas in the countryside.
Three cars were also destroyed to the South of Busr al-Harir in the Eastern countryside, and all militants, who were inside the cars, were killed.
Meanwhile, the army troops launched a wide scale military operation towards Adraa al-Balad in Damascus countryside and cordoned off the town, killing large numbers of militants and destroying their equipment.
The army also targeted militants’ concentration centers in the areas of al-Rawda Street in Khan al-Sheeh farms and al-Hindi farm at Nestle street in the countryside, killing many militants and injuring others.
