Syrian Army Continues to Advance Eastward to Lift ISIL’s Siege on Deir Ezzur

The Syrian Army troops, backed up by the country’s Air Force, continued to hit ISIL’s defense lines in the Western outskirts of Deir Ezzur city on Tuesday, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The army men engaged in tough battle with ISIL after they seized control over al-Majbal region in areas near Brigade 137 base and managed to destroy 12 bomb-laden vehicles, killing their crew.

Also, the army aircraft targeted ISIL’s supply lines in the Southern and Western outskirts of Deir Ezzur city, killing a number of militants and destroying their equipment.

Relevant reports said on Monday that the army soldiers engaged in heavy clashes with ISIL terrorists in Western Deir Ezzur, retaking control of an asphalt workshop in the region.

According to military sources, the army troops were 3km away from ISIL’s main lines around Deir Ezzur, specially Brigade 137 in the Western parts of the city.
