Syrian Armed Forces recapture Al-Husseiniyah village in Deir Ezzor

Syrian Armed Forces recaptured Al-Husseiniyah village in Qudsaya, southern Syria from terrorist group Daesh, it was reported on Mondayby Syrian Ministry of Defense.

The village is located in northwest of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, said the report.

Armed Forces units with support of air force performed an operation against Daesh, it added.

‘In the course of their continued operations to the east of Euphrates River, the army units retook al-Husseiniyeh village, located northwest of Deir Ezzor city after eliminating the last ISIS gatherings in it,’ Syrian media SANA reported.

‘Tens of terrorists were killed and their weapons and equipment, including armored vehicles and vehicles equipped with various types of machineguns and mortars were destroyed as a result of the operations, according to the source.’

Syrian Army and the resistance have broken the siege of Deir ez-Zor on September 5.

The oil-rich city has been under the control of Daesh since July 14, 2014 and the humanitarian aids were only air dropped.
