Syrian and Lebanese health Ministers discuss coordination on transporting victims of boat sinking accident

Damascus, SANA- Health Minister Hasan al-Ghabbash and his Lebanese counterpart Firas Abiad in a phone call on Saturday discussed coordination and cooperation on transporting survivors and bodies of the Lebanese victims of the boat incident that sank off shore Tartous.

Al-Ghabbash told SANA reporter that delivery date of the survivors will be determined based on medical reports of their heath conditions. and the follow-up of transporting the bodies will be carried out, in coordination with the emergency system, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), and the Lebanese Red Cross.

The search efforts of missing persons is continued and the heath cadres are fully ready , he noted.

“The number of victims of the boat incident has risen to 73, in a death toll that is not final, while 14 survivors are receiving treatment at al-Basel Hospital, two of whom are in intensive care, “the minister explained.
