A military source informed Al-Masdar that the Syrian Air Force targeted ISIS gathering points all over the city of Deir Hafer which lies in the eastern countryside of the troubled Aleppo province.
As a result of the relentless bombardment against the terror group, dozens of Islamic State fighters were killed while six technical vehicles were destroyed in the aforementioned town.
The SyAAF has been escalating its operations in the Maskanah and Deir Hafer plains recently, both considered the gateway to Raqqa province. It is unclear whether the Syrian Armed Forces have offensives planned for that region.
Notably, after the loss of Manbij, Deir Hafer became the second largest IS stronghold in Aleppo after Al-Bab.
