Syria in Last 24 Hours: Terrorists’ Bases Destroyed in Army Attack in Hama Province

The terrorist-held regions came under heavy attacks of the Syrian Army’s artillery and missile units in Northern Hama and several militant bases have been destroyed over the past 24 hours.

The artillery and missile units opened heavy fire at the positions and movements of terrorists the town of al-Latamina and the village of al-Zakat in Northern Hama, and destroyed several bases, strongholds and military vehicles of militants.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Hama

The Syrian Army’s artillery and missile units pounded terrorist-held regions in Northern Hama, and destroyed several bases on Monday.

The artillery and missile units opened heavy fire at the positions and movements of terrorists the town of al-Latamina and the village of al-Zakat in Northern Hama, and destroyed several bases, strongholds and military vehicles of militants.

In the meantime, the army soldiers carried out a mop-up operation in Southern Hama and discovered a workshop used previously by the terrorists to make bombs and weapons.

The army units engaged in heavy clashes with the terrorists who intended to enter Moharedah region in Northwestern Hama from the village of al-Zalaqiyat on Thursday.

Meantime, the artillery and missile units of the Syrian army fiercely pounded Tahrir al-Sham’s moves in areas of clashes as well as the town of al-Latamina al-Zakat and the nearby areas.

Field sources said that the army succeeded in repulsing militants’ offensive, adding that during the clashes a number of terrorists were killed and wounded and several of their military vehicles were destroyed.

They noted that other terrorists were forced to flee the scene.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian Army sent more soldiers and military hardware to Eastern Deir Ezzur on Monday to pave the ground for an imminent large-scale operation against the ISIL in the region.

The army forwarded more forces and military equipment, including several cannons, to its positions in Eastern Damascus, to launch a fresh round of large-scale attacks on ISIL that stormed the government forces’ position in al-Mayadeen desert recently.

In the meantime, the army forces engaged in a tough battle with ISIL in Eastern Badiyeh (desert) between Western Deir Ezzur and Eastern Homs, killing or wounding a number of terrorists.

Also, the army aircraft pounded several times ISIL’s positions South of Humeimeh region, imposing heavy casualties on the militants.

Raqqa

The US-backed Kurdish and Arab militias engaged in a fresh round of clashes in Raqqa city on Monday.

The Kurdish members of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) exchanged heavy fire with Liwa Thowar al-Raqqa in several neighborhoods in Raqqa.

The clashes erupted after the Kurdish militias broke into a house that belonged to Abu Awad, an Arab commander of Liwa al-Thowar, near al-Barazi square in Central Raqqa.

Field sources reported that an American delegation entered the city to end clashes between two militant groups.

The sources further said that a large number of people in al-Romeileh neighborhood in Raqqa took to the streets and called for expulsion of the SDF from their town following heavy infighting between the US-backed Kurdish and Arab militias.

Aleppo

The Turkish Police have trained a sum of 3,000 militants to dispatch them to Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo, a Kurdish-language media outlet reported on Monday.

Hawar news quoted a well-informed source as reporting that the Police Academy in Sivas province has embarked on training a sum of 3,000 terrorists from different parts of Syria.

It further said that the Turkish army plans to deploy the militants under the name of the Free Police in Afrin region.

In the meantime, field sources reported that the Turkish army has appointed Rami Talas, one of the commanders of Jeish al-Islam, as the chief of the new group also called as the Afrin police.

The sources further said that almost 700 members of the so-called police have thus far been deployed in the town of Afrin.

The army announced on Saturday that a sum of 4,474 Kurdish militias were killed or held captive in the Ankara forces’ Operation Olive Branch in Afrin.

It further said that the Air Force pounded several positions of the Kurds in Harash Kafroum region in Northern Afrin.

In the meantime, Smart news reported that almost 620 members of the Free Police deployed to Afrin, adding that the Free Police’s members went under military training by the Turkish army men in the town of Mesrin.
