Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Spreading Buffer Zone in Strategic Region of Deir Ezzur

 

 The government troops advanced in regions near the strategic town of al-Mayadeen in military operations to cleanse the ISIL terrorists from Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

The army units continued to advance in Badiyeh Deir Ezzur on Thursday after fully purging terrorists of al-Feyzeh, Feyzeh Mawina’a and al-Tamah in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, regaining control of 1,500sq/km of lands from the ISIL terrorists.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian army forces advanced in regions near the strategic town of al-Mayadeen in military operations to cleanse the ISIL terrorists from Southeastern Deir Ezzur.

The army units continued to advance in Badiyeh Deir Ezzur on Thursday after fully purging terrorists of al-Feyzeh, Feyzeh Mawina’a and al-Tamah in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, regaining control of 1,500sq/km of lands from the ISIL terrorists.

A field source said that the Syrian army troops have advanced over 60km inside Badiyeh region in their operations against the ISIL in al-Mayadeen’s two-way road.

He added that the army has cut off the terrorists’ vital roads in Badiyeh through the recent advances in the region and increased security in the strategic town of al-Mayadeen.

Hama

The Turkish army dispatched fresh forces and military equipment to Hama province in Northern Syria, field sources reported on Thursday.

The sources said that a monitoring team from Turkey entered al-Karakat region near Qala’at al-Maziq in Western Hama.

Also a military convoy was deployed in regions in Western and Northern Hama to the town of Kafr Naboudeh.

The sources added that the convoy consisted of 15 military vehicles, noting that it has moved from Idlib-Sheikhoun road to al-Karakat region and Qala’at al-Maziq in Western Hama and the villages and towns of Northern Hama to Kafr Naboudeh.

Meantime, sources affiliated to the terrorist groups claimed that the Turkish army intends to establish the 11th truce monitoring point in Northern Syria.

A long convoy of Turkish army vehicles had arrived in Western Aleppo on Wednesday to set up the tenth truce monitoring point.

The Turkish army sent a convoy, including 60 military armored and military vehicles, to al-Rashedeen strategic region in Western Aleppo via Kafr Luseen passageway.

Militant-affiliated sources claimed that the Turkish army is planning to set up its tenth truce monitoring point after arrival of the new convoy.

Homs

Militants in four villages in Northern Homs handed over their weapons to the relevant officials and ended battle against the Syrian army, media sources reported on Thursday.

Syria’s Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper reported that the terrorists stationed in the villages of Ezzeddin, Deir Foul, Ein Hossein and al-Ameriyeh in Northern Homs near Southwest of the town of Salamiyeh joined the Syrian army’s peace plan in Northern Homs and Southern Hama.

It added that Salamiyeh will be protected from the militants’ missile and artillery fire after the four villages joined the peace plan.

Meantime, a number of buses have entered the town of al-Rastan and the third group of terrorists are preparing to leave Northern Homs and Southern Hama.

Dara’a

Terrorist groups in Quneitra and Dara’a attacked the Syrian army positions in Quneitra and Dara’a after Israel’s missile strikes against Syria.

Field sources reported on Thursday that the terrorists stationed in Northern Quneitra launched offensives against the Syrian army in the town of Hazar.

According to the report, the Syrian army units repulsed their offensives in clashes with terrorists and artillery and missile attacks against their positions in Jabata al-Khashab, Oufania, Asmadaniyeh Qarbiyeh, al-Hamidiyeh, al-Horiyeh and Mashareh.

Reports also said that militants in Dara’a al-Balad also launched rocket attacks on the districts in Northern al-Khat and al-Kashef in Dara’a.

The Syrian army responded to the offensive with artillery attacks on terrorists’ positions.
