Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Blocks Terrorists’ Connections to ISRAEL

The Syrian army blocked the routes used by Israel for supplying aids and weapons to the terrorists deployed in Southeast and Southwest Syria.
The Syrian forces launched a series of operations in the Southern province of Dara’a and the Southwestern Quneitra region near the Israeli border and managed to block the regime’s routes for sending supplies to the terrorist groups.

Also, reports from Syria said that conflicts in the Palestinian refugee camp in Yarmouk and Jobar district in Damascus countryside have intensified.

Meantime, the state news agency reported on Saturday that more food supplies were delivered to displaced people from Yarmouk Camp who left the neighborhood to escape the crimes of terrorist groups.

1,200 bundles of bread and food supplements were distributed to the people, who are staying in the towns of Yalda, Babila and Bait Sahem in Damascus countryside. Water was also supplied to the displaced families.

The General Authority for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR) and the United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNRWA) carry out the aid distribution process, which is facilitated and supervised by the Syrian government.

Also in the past 24 hours, units of the army and armed forces carried out night raids against a number of military posts which were penetrated by the terrorist groups at the surroundings of Jisr al-Shughour city in Idlib countryside, and the Northwestern countryside of Hama, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.

Earlier Saturday, the Syrian army had redeployed units in the surroundings of Jisr al-Shughour to avoid any civilian casualties and fortified its defensive positions in the city’s vicinity, while it launched concentrated strikes against groups of terrorists and their supply routes in the city, killing and injuring scores of terrorists and destroying their weapons and equipment.

The Syrian armed forces also destroyed a convoy of terrorists’ vehicles crossing the Turkish border at al-Qeniyeh-al-Janoudiyeh axis in the countryside of Idlib on Saturday.

Other army units forces also killed scores of terrorists in the villages of Ramleh, Muraba’ al-Kabeer, Muraba’ al-Salloum and along the road between Khanaser and Abu al-Duhour in the countryside of Aleppo province on Saturday.

Also in the past 24 hours, the army targeted terrorist positions in Bustan al-Qassr, Bustan al-Basha, Qastal Mishit and Old City in Aleppo, and killed and injured a number of al-Nusra terrorists in Lairamoun neighborhood in Northwestern Aleppo.

Military sources in Syria said several neighborhoods in Aleppo city, and villages and towns in its countryside were the scenes of heavy clashes between the Syrian Army and the insurgents.

An informed source told FNA that the militants’ concentration centers in Old Aleppo and al-Rashideen neighborhoods in Aleppo city were strongly targeted by the Syrian army men, which resulted in the killing and wounding of scores of them.

Insurgents’ strongholds in al-Atareb town to the West of Aleppo city also came under a raid by the army men, other sources said, addnig that scores of militants were killed and dozens more were captures in the clashes.

The militant groups in the nearby areas of Air Force Academy and al-Lyramoun in the Northern part of Aleppo city sustained heavy losses in the army attack on their strongholds.

Other operations of Saturday destroyed vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns in the Eastern countryside of the province.

The Syrian Army also killed large groups of militants in major offensives on the concentration centers of insurgent groups in the strategic province of Homs.

Army attacks on militants’ gathering centers in al-Msheirfeh al- Shamaliyeh village and the hills surrounding it in Eastern Homs city resulted in the death and injury of dozens of the terrorists.

A large depot of weapons and ammunitions was also targeted in the region.

The army also raided insurgents’ strongholds in Salam Qarbi, Masada, Talbeseh, and Abu Hawadeet village in the Eastern country side of Homs, wounding several rebels, capturing dozens more.
