Quds not for a special group or denomination

Grand Ayatollah Hassan Mamdouhi, member of the Assembly of Experts, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) stressed role of clerics in liberation of Al Quds highlighting importance of solidarity among Muslims in confrontation with world arrogant powers.
The cleric, on threshold of international Quds Day, referred to Quds as the first Qibla (praying direction) of all Muslims underlining the duty of all Islamic denominations in regards to the holy site.
“Quds does not belong to a special group or denomination, rather it is related to the world of Islam.” said the scholar.
Member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom stressed,” It is clear that Shia and Sunni have certain duties towards Quds.” and called all for a vigilant defense of the holy mosque.
Ayatollah Mamdouhi referred to occupation and domination of the Zionist regime as the reason for ignorance of many Islamic countries towards Al Quds and said,” Such countries cannot even breathe due to their fear of the Zionist regime and they will remain under this domination.”
He highlighted unity of Shia and Sunni as the key in confrontation with arrogant powers calling that as the most important necessity.

International Quds Day is the last Friday in the holy month of Ramadan an inspiration of the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), calling all to hold demonstrations and voice their support for Al Quds Mosque and Palestinian nation.
