Head of the international relations council in Palestine Basem Naim has strongly denounced some Arab countries for hastening to establish relations with the Israeli occupation state. “We call for besieging the occupation and boycotting it politically, economically, athletically and culturally at all levels and by all means,” Naim stated during the opening ceremony of the Islamic bloc’s youth camp in Gaza.

The Palestinian official highlighted the importance of using “the weapon of boycotts” to exhaust the Israeli occupation financially and morally, describing it as a means to delegitimize and expose the occupation. “The money we pay into the wallet of the occupation through buying and supporting Israeli products turns into bullets and weapons utilized to kill the Palestinian people and demolish their homes,” he warned.

He pointed to the fact that the Palestinian contribution to Israel’s economy amounts to five billion dollars while the American support it gets from the US totals three billion every year. “The other side of the boycott campaign is to support the national product in order to provide employment opportunities for the Palestinian young people and enhance the national economy,” he added.
