Scores of citizens participated in a protest rally staged on Friday in the Gaza Strip to express support for the Palestinian intifada (uprising) against the occupation and to condemn the recent US decision to blacklist senior Hamas official Fathi Hammad. Following the Friday prayer in Beit Jabalia town, hundreds of protestors marched through its streets carrying banners denouncing Israel and its US supporters as terrorists.
Addressing the protesters, senior Hamas official Mushir al-Masri deplored the US administration for its unjust positions towards the Palestinian people and its support for Israel’s terrorism. “No good should be expected from the US administration.
