The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Hezbollah seized several sites in the southern sector of Aleppo City on Monday, resulting in their first advance towards Khan Touman in several weeks.

Beginning with the capture of the Air Defense Battalion on Sunday, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah managed to expand their buffer-zone in southern Aleppo after surprising the jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) with a powerful assault.

On Monday, the Syrian Armed Forces made their biggest leap in southern Aleppo, capturing both Tal Bazou and Tal Ahed after a fierce battle with Jaysh Al-Fateh militants.

As a result of this advance, the Syrian Armed Forces are now within striking distance of the Hikmah School, which is situated near the southern sector of the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project.
