Iraqi army, Tribal fighters retake areas in Kirkuk

The Iraqi army, backed by tribal forces, made a strong drive against the ISIL terrorists in Southwest Kirkuk, and succeeded in liberating several villages from the control of the Takfiri group.

According to reports on Wednesday, the army troops and fighters from Ubaid and al-Jabour tribes inflicted major losses on the ISIL in Kirkuk, and regained control over several areas in the oil-rich province.
Hamrain Mountain and two areas in the town of al-Ramil were fully cleared of ISIL terrorists, after heavy clashes between the two sides. At least 20 Takfiri terrorists lost their lives during the operations.
On Tuesday, the Iraqi army, backed by Shiite and Sunni volunteer forces, made a final push against the ISIL terrorists in Tikrit, and managed to fully liberate the Northern city from the control of the Takfiri group.
