Informed sources disclosed that the top treasury official of the ISIL terrorist group in Kirkuk has left the province for an unknown destination with a large amount of cash.
“The ISIL treasury official had promised to leave to purchase foodstuff and distribute them among the poor in Haweija town, but he escaped with several millions of dollars,” the Arabic-language media quoted unnamed informed sources as saying.
This is not the first time that such incident happens as a large number of ISIL treasury men have already escaped with tens of millions of dollars. In the latest incident of this kind, local sources disclosed on Tuesday that Hatim al-Utaybi, a Saudi national, had stolen the entire money, gold and other precious jewelry of the Takfiri group and had left Raqqa for an unknown destination.
On Tuesday, the Iraqi security forces captured one of the top aides of ISIL Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a security operation in Anbar province.
“A joint security force carried out a military operation against ISIL gatherings in al-Nazera area West of Anbar and arrested the assistant of the ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, (known as) Rasheed Khalaf Dahi,” the source said
Iraqi security forces also seized large quantities of weapons, explosive belts, secret encrypted documents and fake passports.
