Iran will not cooperate with the US beyond nuclear issues, Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said on Monday.
Speaking in a local ceremony, he noted that the Islamic Republic will not bend towards dominant powers under any type of pressure.
Iran will not accept the logic of power and will resist against pressures, Dehqan said.

He noted that the US is desperate and needs Iran’s help in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and the African countries.

The US is ready to give Iran incentives in return for the Islamic Republic’s assistance to help it get out of the quagmire Washington is now trapped in, defense minister added.

Dehqan noted that Iran will not cooperate with the United States beyond the nuclear issues.

Iran is giving advisory help to Syrian people in their fight against enemies, he said.

The official said that Iran will not remain reluctant towards those insulting the holy Shia shrines anywhere in the world.

Iran will use all the potential it possesses to boost its defensive and missile capabilities, he added.

Dehqan said that the government has done its best to decrease tensions with other countries in order to resolve internal problems but the US violated its obligations enshrined in the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action and is looking for excuses to place more sanctions on Iran.
