Local sources confirmed that Faylaq al-Rahman and Ahrar al-Sham terrorist groups exchanged heavy fire in a fresh round of infighting in Eastern Ghouta.

The sources said that Faylaq al-Rahman engaged in heavy clashes with Ahrar al-Sham and laid siege on their positions in the town of Arbin.

They added that Faylaq al-Rahman has arrested the top commander of Ahrar al-Sham nom de guerre Abu al-Fada al-Zabadani in an attack on the group’s positions in Arbin.

Faylaq al-Rahman inflicted a number of casualties on Ahrar al-Sham and arrested tens of others, transferring them to an unknown location, the sources said.

In the meantime, ISIL and Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board whose members are mainly from al-Nusra Front) engaged in fierce clashes in Safouriyeh street in the Yarmouk Palestinian Refugees Camp South of Damascus after ISIL hit one of the buildings of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at by incendiary bombs.

Jeish al-Islam in a statement on Tuesday announced that its forces launched a fresh round of attacks on rival terrorist groups in Eastern Ghouta.

Jeish al-Islam’s statement said that after a halt in military operations against Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at a number of Tahrir al-Sham forces launched an attack on Jeish al-Islam’s positions with the participation of Faylaq al-Rahman.

Jeish al-Islam accused the commander of Faylaq al-Rahman of providing weapons, shelter and equipment for the remaining pockets of Tahrir al-Sham.

In the meantime, a number of militants were killed after a fresh round of clashes between Jeish al-Islam with Faylaq al-Rahman and Tahrir al-Sham in Eastern Ghouta.
