‘Hezbollah’s triumph in 33-Day War, a gain for Islam’

Ayatollah Sayyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri hailed Hezbollah’s triumph in the 2006 33-Day War with the Zionist regime stressing, “Hezbollah’s gain in the battle War wasn’t just a triumph for themselves, but was a gain for Islam and the Quran,” Taqrib News Agency (TNA) reported Rasa as saying.

The member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts said this victory went against the historical experience of the region as the Zionist regime was previously seen as invincible. In all the wars that occurred between Arab countries and the Zionist regime, the Arabs were defeated but in this war against Hezbollah, the problem was reversed and Hezbollah was victorious.

He said that Hezbollah’s victory in this war wasn’t just a victory for the Islamic Resistance itself, but was a victory for Islam and the Quran. “The Iranian nation appreciates and thanks the Islamic Resistance and the leader of the Resistance, His Eminence Sayyid Hasan Nasrallah, who is a brave, intelligent, cognisant and revolutionary hero,” he said.

Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri noted that August 19th marks the anniversary of the “infamous” American-orchestrated 1953 Iranian coup d’état and said, “After this coup d’état, the Americans created a repressive atmosphere in Iran by establishing the SAVAK. Iran faced difficult conditions which lasted until the victory 1979 Islamic Revolution.”

His Eminence said that it was possible that something could have been done to prevent the 1953 coup d’état from occurring but Mohammad Mossadeq didn’t pay attention to the advice of Ayatollah Sayyed Abolqasem Kashani. “We must let others know that those responsible for the coup d’état or internal failure also had an effect in this direction,” he said.

He explained that on the day prior to the coup, Ayatollah Kashani wrote a letter to Prime Minister Mossadeq warning him of symptoms of another coup which was looming and offered him a helping hand but Mossadeq refused his offer of help.

In conclusion, Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri said that in a recent meeting with managers of the Ministry of Intelligence, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, praised the officials’ efforts “because this ministry is responsible for protecting the orientation of the Islamic Revolution and the dividing line between the imperialists, meaning the US, and Iran.”
