Complete Report from the Yarmouk Camp; Palestinian Resistance on the Offensive

Day five of ISIL offensive at the Al-Yarmouk Camp produced similar results to the previous days, as the latter gained more ground in the central part of the district after fierce clashes with the Hamas affiliated group “Aknef Beit Al-Maqdis” on Sunday.

ISIL was able to expand their control over a number of building blocks near Libya Street, killing at least 15 fighters from Aknef Beit Al-Maqdis, while also abducting a dozen civilians from their homes and executing 4 of them.

For the Islamists from Aknef Beit Al-Maqdis, their fighters have been forced to either make peace with the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” or face more aggression from the latter’s ally at Al-Yarmouk Camp and Hajar Al-Aswad.

To counter the ISIL offensive, the Palestinian resistance groups have launched their own counter-offensive led by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC), the Palestine Liberation Army (PLA), and Fatah Al-Intifada.

The Palestinian resistance groups were able to take control of Morocco Street, Al-Ja’ounah Street, and the Martyrs Cemetery after combatting a large ISIS contingent in the northern sector of the district.

According to a source from Jarmana Camp, the Palestinian resistance groups killed three dozen ISIS militants, including Manaf Yousif Taha’ (Lebanese), Radwan Ghassan Al-Boustani (Palestinian), Nouress Khalil Haroun (Lebanese), Hussein Wasseem Shalaan, Qusay Mohammad Yasseen, Ahmad ‘Abdel-Rahman ‘Abdulllah (Palestinian), Ahmad Mahmoud Haddad (Palestinian), Nour al-Deen Tamaam Al-Khodor, and ‘Ali Hosni Al-Saqr.

Social media activists from Aknef Beit Al-Maqdis have reported the death of 70 ISIS fighters after five days of fighting in the Al-Yarmouk Camp.

The Palestinian resistance groups currently control 40% of the Al-Yarmouk District, according to the PFLP-GC Sgt. Mohammad Jamaal Abu Moussa.

East of Al-Yarmouk Camp, the PLA and PFLP-GC continued their offensive to rid the Al-Tadamon District of Islamist factions in the southwest sector; however, there was no map change as a result of the fierce clashes on Sunday.
