Ain Al-Hilwe Palestinian refugee camp in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon witnessed a calm night, as the Joint Security Force deployed in Al-Tireh neighborhood, Al-Manar correspondent said on Thursday.

Our correspondent confirmed that members of the joint forces have deployed in several areas across Al-Tireh. The neighborhood was a scene of fierce clashes between the Joint Security Force, led by Fatah movement, and Takfiri group of terrorist Bilal Badr since last Friday.

The correspondent meanwhile, expected the return of the camp residents, who fled fierce fighting which lasted for six days.

The clashes, which forced schools and Universities across Sidon to close, killed nine people and injured at least 50 others.

The deployment of the joint force was repeatedly delayed after Badr terrorists violated an agreement by Palestinian factions to deploy in Al-Tireh.

The clashes broke out last Friday (April 7) when Badr terrorists opened fire at the joint force members as they were deploying in one of three posts agreed upon by Palestinian factions following an earlier battle which lasted for days in the refugee camp last February.

The 100-member-force includes members of Fatah Movement, Hamas, Osbat al-Ansar and other nationalist and Islamist Palestinian groups.
