Aleppo: Syrian Army, Hezbollah Ready to Launch Khan Touman Liberation Operation

Field sources disclosed on Monday that Syrian government forces are getting ready for an imminent large-scale operation to end Jeish al-Fatah’s rule over Khan Touman region in Southern Aleppo.

“Syrian army troops and the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters are preparing to push South towards Khan Touman, al-Eis and al-Zerbeh after capturing air defense battalion, Tal Bazo, and finding full fire control over Rashedeen 4 ad 5 on the Southern outskirts of Aleppo city in the last few days,” the sources said.

The sources added that Syrian government forces, backed up by Russian and Syrian fighter jets, continue to hit Jeish al-Fatah’s centers in neighborhoods on the Aleppo-Khan Touman road and in Housing Project 1070 and the districts of Sheikh Saeed and Ameriyeh.

Jeish al-Fatah’s centers in Rashedeen 4 and 5 and Ramouseh’s road came under heavy air raids by the Syrian and Russian warplanes.

Wining back Khan Touman region will bring the Aleppo-Damascus highway under government’s control.

Earlier today that Syrian army soldiers and popular forces launched fresh operation in areas South and Southeast of Housing Project 1070 in Southwestern Aleppo to complete siege on the remaining pockets of Jeish al-Fatah terrorists.

“After the Syrian government forces’ advances and the seizure of air defense battalion, Tal Bazo and a telecommunication tower, the Syrian military forces stormed Jeish al-Fatah’s positions around a key height near Housing Project 1070 to cut off the supply lines of the terrorists in the Project and other Southwestern neighborhoods of Aleppo city,” the sources said.

“Syrian and Russian fighter jets, for their parts, pounded Jeish al-Fatah’s gatherings in the Housing Project 1070,” the sources added.

“The army soldiers, meantime, ambushed a group of terrorists in Project 1070 and killed at least 7 militants,” they went on to say.
