The Syrian Army troops and popular forces repelled attacks of al-Nusra Front to break through the government forces’ strongholds in the Southern part of Hama.

Assaults of the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front near the small town of al-Zara were fended off by the Syrian soldiers and their allies.

At least 25 members of the Takfiri terrorist groups were killed and many more were wounded in the unsuccessful attacks.

Al-Nusra left behind the dead members and fled the battlefield towards the villages in the Southern part of Hama border Homs province.

In relevant developments in the province on Sunday, the Syrian Army’ artillery units opened heavy fire at a military column of the terrorist group of Ahrar al-Sham on a road connecting the Northern part of Homs to the Southern part of Hama, cutting off militants’ supply route.

The road, connecting Keisin in Homs to Hirbnafsa in Hama, came under the heavy shelling of the Syrian artillery.

Tens of the members of Ahrar al-Sham were killed or wounded in the shelling and the road became unsafe for transfer of fresh terrorists to the Southern battlefield of Hama province.
