According to Syrian officials, the attacks targeted a school and a mosque in the Syrian villages of al-Hamidiyah and al-Hurriyah, early Wednesday.
At least four civilians were injured.
The Syrian military says the instances of violence are an aggressive act and has warned Israel against carrying out similar attacks. The Israeli military reportedly used tanks, machine guns, and rockets.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military has confirmed the attacks, claiming it was trying to hit suspected militants attempting to plant an explosive device near the Syrian border.
Israel captured the Golan Heights during the Six-Day War of 1967, when it also took control of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
It annexed the Golan Heights in 1981, although the move was never recognized by the international community and was a violation of international law.
More than 130,000 people have reportedly been killed and millions displaced since the deadly violence in Syria which began in 2011.
According to reports, the Western powers and their regional allies — especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey — are supporting the militants operating inside Syria.
